Also only 500 yards away you have the beautiful village, with amazing shops & eateries, inc Betty’s Tea Rooms!. It really is a gorgeous village.

We will have a Splash of Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Fun Group Dance & Blues (Some styles TBC).

Keith & Sam Your Main Modern Jive Teacher’s - Keith has performed on the same stage as the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Katie Melua & worked alongside Alisha Dixon on the BBC, Keith with Vicky also won the Ceroc Scottish & World Modern Jive Showcase sections 2018/19.

Linz, the Queen of Choreography, WCS & Amazing Solo Fun Dances, keeping things fun and getting everyone into the groove - a firm favourite with ALL our dancers.

Nele & Jasper our German friends Returning from Europe by popular demand, owners of Jive Berlin, with weekly classes and monthly parties, they host 2 weekenders a year - with one of them including the German Modern Jive Championships! Nele and Jasper competed at the World Modern Jive Championships and Nele placed 1st with Vicky Mykytiuk in “Here come the Girls” specialising in smooth Kiwi/Australian style of Modern Jive & musicality.

Shaun Davies (New to our Weekenders, but not to us) Teaching Modern Jive Shaun teaches in a relaxed & smooth way & will be teaching his style of Modern Jive. A member of the LeRoc Federation, partner at Wings Club Chester.

Jan C: Adult Ballet & really helpful for technique - After many years of dancing Ballet, Modern Lyrical and stage experience along with BBO, ISTD and RAD training (up to Advanced) at the Hammond School, Chester, then later Jan also became a Member of the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dancing).

We always aim to provide amazing Modern Jive Weekenders, whilst also dipping your toe into dances such as Latin Ballroom, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Blues, American Swing & Lindy Hop plus our now famous fun group dance and this weekender is no exception, see below.

Workshops will grow progressively throughout the weekend, starting with foundation & more basic moves, or tricks you can do with a more basic move, getting more in-depth & trickier as the weekend progresses.
So no matter what level you are at, you should find quite a lot to suit:

We are heavily Modern Jive, with a further split of Latin Ballroom, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Blues, Jango + a great favourite of our dancers, the Fun Group Dance (Dances vary from Weekender to weekender - See above for Ilkley).

Please Note: We do our best to Gender Balance, this will mean there will be times when we cannot accept any more Followers (this usually means ladies) 😢 We can still add you to our waiting list, just email & let us know what you’d like to join, ie full weekender or just Saturday night. We can then let you know if something comes available.

Prices are as above and because this is a lovely 3* Hotel, we’re able to offer you one of our most reasonably priced weekender in 2025, but keeping that 4* Weekender feeling with beautiful food & amazing Teachers (We’re not sure why it is only a 3* hotel) plus 5 or 6 DJ’s!
