NEW DATA REQUIREMENTS - Please Read this from our Travel Agent:
Dear Euphoria Events,
I hope you are well.
We would like to inform you about the implementation of Royal Decree 933/2021, of October 26th, which came into force last Monday, December 2nd and by which upon arrival of customers to Spanish territory, during the check in at the arrival of contracted hotels as well as rental car pick up, you will be asked for some additional data as part of the new procedures established by the regulation. These data are necessary to comply with legal requirements and ensure your comfort during your stay.
Until now, the traveler was required to present his national ID card or passport to check in, to obtain the register of the name, surname, identity document number, support number, date of birth and nationality. After the entry of this regulation, the following will also be required: municipality, postal code, telephone number or e-mail address and relationship to adult traveling with in case there is a minor...... Delaying a little the total duration of the check-in.
This decree also affects us, Travel Agencies, which are required by Royal Decree to provide the Spanish Ministry of the Interior with practically the same data: municipality, postal code, telephone or email ..... This leads us to inform you that from now on we will need this information to comply with legal requirements, urging you to send it once you have the customer's reservation data, data that we will anticipate to the hotel, with the intention of avoiding inconveniences and delays in future check-in of customers.
As we have said so far, these are the data that are being requested in principle, since we are in the adaptation phase, because it is still not very clear what data will be established as definitive.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation in order to comply with this new regulation.
