Videos below - Beginner & Improver Modern Jive Classes & Cabaret
Beginners Classes shot whilst on Lockdown.
All very different, where we show combinations with 3 different beginner moves.
Modern Jive is always danced in 4/4 time, with 99% of the moves starting with the Lead stepping back on their left leg, whilst the follower steps back on their right to mirror the lead. After that it’s pretty much walking, ie left right, left right. So no tricky foot patterns as in Salsa or Latin Ballroom etc.
1 Beginner move with some Cross Body Extensions, great for improver dancers.
